June kicks off Pride month for many countries around the world. Regionally, different cities and towns have chosen various weeks and weekends throughout the year. In short, it should be Pride all the time!
Puerto Vallarta has long been a hot-spot destination and when I got the invite to take in PV Pride for some travel content, I packed my bags and headed for the airport!
Puerto Vallarta's Pride festival happens in May.
Puerto Vallarta Pride was more than just a party; it was a celebration of love, acceptance, and community. It was a reminder of the importance of fighting for equality and creating a world where everyone can live authentically.
BEACH-SIDE COMMITMENT CEREMONY
Everybody loves a wedding -- or so they say. But this morning was a truly significant moment for the five couples participating in the beachside ceremony. And yes, people were making fun of my crying. But it was sweet!
I hugged each one of the couples and congratulated them, met some of their families and chatted with them about their lives together. Then we all went down to the beach with champagne for group photos.
PRIDE PARADE
Though there was confusion about where the parade was actually happening, once it started and people found their way to the parade route, the floats were definitely crowd pleasers.
There's really not much to say about a parade. They're pretty self explanatory: community groups, businesses and organizations decorate vehicles, blast some music, strip down and wave at the onlookers. The pictures speak for themselves. So, let's get to more imagery from PV!
