Rich, creamy Buff'ed soup



Two things you don't normally combine: coffee and soup... until now! Really. Don't give me that look.

I've created my own coffee soup.

Now, before you picture a savory broth with floating beans, let me clarify: this is a rich, creamy, deeply comforting hot beverage that truly feels like a warm hug in a mug. It’s more substantial than your average cup, perfect for those chilly mornings or when I need a little extra pick-me-up that feels both indulgent and satisfying.

The secret to its incredible depth and flavor? Our Buff Boy coffee, of course! Duh!

For this particular coffee soup, our Sexy & Dark Six-Bean Blend is absolutely perfect as it provides a magnificent base, holding its character beautifully amidst the other ingredients.

My coffee soup isn’t just about making coffee; it’s an experience. It’s about blending the bold essence of quality coffee with comforting, creamy elements and a touch of sweetness, all gently warmed to perfection. Think of it as a decadent coffee-based comfort food that you can enjoy any time of day.

Here’s what you’ll need to create your own bowl (or mug, really) of rich and creamy Buff'ed coffee soup:

Ingredients:

    1 cup (240 ml) Strong Brewed Buff Boy Brewing Coffee: Freshly brewed is key. I brew it a little stronger than usual to ensure the coffee flavor really shines through the richness.
    ½ cup (120 ml) Milk of Choice: Whole milk or a creamy oat milk will yield the richest, most luxurious soup. Almond or skim milk also work if you prefer a lighter version.
    2 tablespoons Sweetened Condensed Milk: This is my secret weapon for both creaminess and a delightful sweetness, eliminating the need for separate sugar.
    ¼ teaspoon Vanilla Extract: For a touch of aromatic warmth.
    A small pinch of Cinnamon (optional): This enhances the coffee's complexity beautifully.
    Optional Toppings: Whipped cream, chocolate shavings, a sprinkle of cocoa powder or extra cinnamon.

Instructions:

    Brew Your Buff Boy Coffee: Prepare a strong cup of your favorite Buff blend. The stronger the coffee, the more robust and flavorful your "soup" will be.
    Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the brewed Buff coffee, your chosen milk, the sweetened condensed milk and the vanilla extract. If using, add the pinch of cinnamon.
    Gently Heat: Whisk constantly until the mixture is hot and steaming, but do not let it come to a boil. You want it to be perfectly warm and homogenous, with all the ingredients well combined. This usually takes about 3-5 minutes.
    Serve & Enjoy: Pour your coffee soup into your favorite mug or a small bowl. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder if you’re feeling extra indulgent.

This coffee soup has truly become my go-to for those moments when I crave something more substantial than a regular coffee, but lighter than a full meal.
